Malakai Love-Semira has re-signed for Peninsula Power after breakout 2021 campaign, debuting and solidifying himself as a regular in the first team squad.

The 18-year-old winger made his first team starting debut during the 2021 NPL campaign against the Brisbane Strikers.

Love-Semira was presented with his Number 18 jersey by Club Legend, Shaun Feuerriegel prior to the match.

Feueriegel wore the Number 18 jersey representing the club in 188 League matches and is still the leading Brisbane Premier League goalscorer with 95 goals in that time.

Love-Semira began his football journey as a junior with Pine Rivers, North Pine and The Lakes FC before joining the NPL pathway with Brisbane City at U11 level.

At the age of 17, Love-Semira swapped Spencer Park for AJ Kelly, joining the red, white and blue ahead of the 2021 season.

Love-Semira also spent his final years of schooling at GPS school, St Joseph's Gregory Terrace being coached by former Brisbane City head coach, John Kosmina, co-captaining the red and black army in 2020.

The Peninsula Power Rising Star award winner for 2021 is currently in the pathway for the Fijian national team, travelling to Melbourne in recent weeks to trial and show his talent to selectors.

The young starlet is brimming with excitement and looking to build on a successful debut senior men's campaign.

“Last year was my first real taste of Men's football and I am very grateful for the opportunity the coaches and staff have given me.

"After a great season last year, I'm very keen to improve both individually and as a team to try and achieve even more success."
