Power sign Magpies defender

Marko Milutinovic makes the trip down south from Mackay to join Aaron Philp's side.

The experienced defender will look to add new steel to what was the league's second best defence.

Marko comes to the club with a wealth of experience, spending last season with Magpies Crusaders United in the NPL.

The Canberra-born defender has played all over the country and the world having spent time in the USA with LA10 FC, Serbia with OFK Belgrade, FJ Jagodina and FK Bask, and in Australia's capital where he spent his junior years playing with Cooma Tigers and Woden Valley.

Milutinovic spent four years playing senior football in Serbia including his time with OFK Belgrade, one of the oldest clubs and most historic clubs in the country that produced talents such as Branislav Ivanovic and Aleksander Kolarov.

In his years playing abroad, Milutinovic experienced playing football in four separate countries, Serbia, USA, Sweden and Uzbekistan.

Whilst being in the USA, Marko was invited to trial with LA Galaxy meeting the likes of Ibrahimovic but eventually ended up playing for Alessandro Del Piero's new club, LA10 FC.

With plenty of experience across the world, Milutinovic is now excited to ply his trade on the Peninsula.

"Power being the benchmark of the NPL for the last few years was a big draw card.

"The competitive squad I feel will be able to get the best out of me."

Senior Director of Football Ben Ryan is keen to see what Milutinovic can bring to the Power defence.

"Marko obviously comes to us off the back of a difficult season.

"But we had a few lads come in last year after a similar season and those boys all did well in a different environment so hopefully Marko can emulate them."
