Peninsula Power are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a $170,000 grant under the state government’s new Female Facilities Program, to upgrade changing rooms and referee rooms at Dalton Park Clontarf.
Member for Redcliffe Yvette DAth announced the grant during junior games being played at Dalton Park. Under the state government’s new Female Facilities Program, the funding will be used to construct new changing rooms and referees rooms to increase participation at the facility that also boasts three competition playing fields.
The inclusive facilities will greatly assist the club to meet the current and future needs of local female footballers, continuing the extensive work over many years to actively promote women’s football.
Club President Craig Feuerriegel said “These upgraded dressing rooms will help boost the women’s game in our community which continues to grow each year. “The Female Facilities Program is all about meeting the current and future needs of women and girls to encourage them to get out and get active.” “The Peninsula has a proud history of producing some of Australia’s best female footballers, including Matilda’s Kate McShea, and Larissa Crummer.
