Peninsula Power FC was founded in the year 2000.
The Peninsula Power Football Club is situated in Redcliffe City, one of the most vibrant, dynamic and desirable cities in South East Queensland. Redcliffe Peninsula is a bayside city of approximately 60,000 residents, surrounded on three sides by the water and only 30 minutes north of Brisbane.
The club became an entity in 2000 after the amalgamation of Margate and Redcliffe football clubs took place. These clubs had an associated history that dated back over fifty years on the Peninsula and produced many talented players that went on to represent at State, National and International levels. Since the inauguration of Peninsula Power in 2000 we have continued that tradition and are still producing players at elite level. The club realised one of its major dreams in 2006 when it defeated Toowoomba in a home-and-away playoff series to gain entry into the Football Brisbane Premier League for the first time in its short history and is only one of three clubs in Brisbane that have Men's and Women's Premier League teams.
The Club operates independently and is administered by a Management Committee. We are a non-profit, family and community orientated club that channels all funds into development and club resource improvement. Our club promotes player participation regardless of individual skill in accordance with Australian Sports Commissions guidelines and healthy lifestyle practices.
The Peninsula Power Football Club operates out of two facilities within Redcliffe City at Kippa-Ring and Clontarf.
Our Headquarters and competition standard playing fields, licensed bar & function room, canteen, change rooms and playground are located at A.J. Kelly Park, George St Kippa-Ring. Competition fixtures are played at this ground and the fields are centrally located between the Redcliffe commercial business centre and Peninsula Fair Shopping complex.
Our junior/training facility is located at Dalton Park, Maine Rd Clontarf. This facility has three floodlit full size playing fields, clubhouse and change rooms and is only 200 metres from the waterfront.
